Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material (a durable plastic material) is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately “bonds” the material to the tooth to restore or improve a person’s smile.

When is bonding used?
It can be used:
- To correct cracks or gaps in teeth
- To cover up stains or discolored teeth
- As a filling after a cavity has been removed
How does dental bonding work?
First, the doctor chooses a shade of composite resin to match and enhance your smile. Then, the composite resin is applied and sculpted over your tooth. After the resin is applied, an LED light is used to harden the resin. Once the resin hardens, the tooth is ready to be polished. Results are achieved immediately and can subtly or drastically change the appearance of your smile.
Is it safe?
Bonding is a safe, affordable and aesthetically pleasing solution for many dental problems.
